Tobias Müellensiefen is Team Leader at the Future of Work unit of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion. In this capacity he worked on the EU directive on platform work, which establishes new rules on automated monitoring and decision-making systems. He contributes to the EU’s policy on AI and algorithmic management at the workplace.
Tobias has 20 years of working experience as a lawyer in various positions and departments of the European Commission, specialising in digital technologies and data rights. He holds degrees in law and political science from the universities of Cologne, Paris (Panthe´on-Sorbonne) and the College of Europe in Bruges.
